Just bought this vid at the DLR/SH show last night in Scranton. Two versions on one VHS tape: one straight-through version and one with commentary from DLR. I haven't watched the version with commentary yet, but after watching the regular version I thought it was great...had a spirit running through it that I had hoped for in Dave's performance last night...fun! You can tell he was into this project--it comes through in the performance; and the music is done well too. I'll admit it's insane, but am I the only one who likes this latest 'finger painting' from Roth?

Hey Blind Willie - is the Ice Cream man performance the one that Dave talks about in his book - the one recorded in '95 during the Vegas stint? Or is it a brand new recording?

Yeah, thats the one - he almost looked as bad a shammy on the inside sleeve of LRHRN with his 'Rupert the Bear' checkered spandex trying (and I emphasise the word 'trying') to do the mid-air scissor kick.

Like I said ALMOST!

DLR sounds really bluesy and lowdown--plus you can't go wrong with the Dahm triplets tuggin' on his Davesyckle!

I still haven't seen this video. I bought my DVD player back when Dave was supposed to release this thing officially.

And I really thought he should release it as a bonus DVD with the Diamond Dave album. Then again, when you can sell 15 thousand whole albums without a bonus, you're above putting something extra and unique in the package.

Yes, Extreme is crap. The No Holds Bar B Que is better than LWAN, RHRH, or The Long Choad to Cabo.

On what scale are you basing this?

Does somebody have the cover artwork fpr the DVD? Can't find it on the web anywhere? Thanks in advance!

That is going to be hard to find, I think he only printed press copies.

And for good reason!

At one time on the DLR Army site they had the whole thing for download with cover I believe.

Not sure if it is still on there.

I downloaded the DVD a few days ago, but haven't watched it yet. Maybe after watching, I don't need the cover after all? ;)

There are a few things on there I like, but only if I close my eyes for most of it. I have it on CD somewhere, and that isn't that bad. Flex and a few of the other tunes aren't bad, but the visuals along with it? Bleh....

He just looks and acts like a coked out 70's porn director. Maybe that was what he was going for, if he was he hit it out of the park.
