Has anyone noticed how Dave's voice really sounds strained after he left VH? I am listening to his solo stuff right now for the first time in many years, and he really doesn't sound that great. Even on YANKEE ROSE, which wasn't too long after 1984, he doesn't sound as good as he did on 1984. And by the time SKYSCRAPER came along he had pretty much lost his high note. What do you think? Talk amongst yourselves....

And how long have you been a Van Halen fan?....

You should hear him now…

He can’t reach those screams he use to do, sad

Eddie can't play like he use to.

Sammy's fat.

Mike never has been able to play, he just rides the coattails.

Alex is one slap on the back away from being a Paraplegic.

Dave never could sing....he was just a good dancer.

Someone remind me how these guys sold 70+ million albums????

Jeez.....

hey man

Vanstonica,

There are many bands or solo acts that have sold 70+ million albums and don't have a talent in the world - so what are you getting at?

No point.....just throwing out things I've read here in the past about various band members who have fallen out of favor for some reason or another.

I heard someone say this on VH1 a while back and I totally agree with it. They were comparing Dave with Vince Neil saying how neither one of them was a fantastic singer, but that they both just had this "cool rock voice".
