I am considering selling my EVHMM but I don't know what the current market value is, I know at one time it was quite good, has it changed much since the wolfgang release? Also, is ebay the best place for an auction or is there a site better suited for musical instruments?

Depending on condition and finish you could get around 2K for it. If you want the most exposure go to ebay. I have tried to sell things at Harmony Central and other places such as that. But to get the most out of it i always have to take it to Ebay.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have not been following the guitar market that close, last time I looked (2 years ago)retailers were selling "beat" ones for 2.4- 2.8K, whereas mine is brand new never played, swingtags etc... Oh well I guess I will wait until the market rebounds.

I have a flame and a quilt both in amber. I had a sunburst and a purple quilt at one time also. I play the flame top and have stored the quilt top since day one. When I heard that they were going out of production years ago I made an arrangement with the local dealers were I got first refusal on any EVHMM they got in, so I got to pick what I felt were the best out of about last 45-50 over the course of a year. I wanted a black quilt, but was never able to find a decent one.
I have a baby boy due to be born in two weeks, hopefully, as he gets older he will have the same interest in guitars that I do, and at some point in the future I can give him a mint EVHMM. Imagine if your father had given you a 59 les paul that he had set aside for years, I always thought that would be pretty cool.
