i know that crossing over was written by eddie by the time they record 5150... when they record the song in 1995, the part that eddie wrote back in 1985 was in one channel, and the rest of the song were created.

it may sound crazy... but i swear i can hear love walks in keyboards as a guitar riff on crossing over... anyone has the same feeling or know something about it???

Can't say I've heard that before, but I'll go back and give it a listen.

Boy its close if its not it. If you listen to the end it plays the first bar of Love Walks In as the first bar of the riff, but the second bar is different. The start of the riff is the same, but the end is differrent. The fourth note in the progression in Love Walks In is an octave above the starting note, In Crossing Over its a fifth, I think. Very similar lines though.

Yeah I can see what UNCLE TED is saying . I don't really care for CROSSING OVER myself but I like LOVE WALKS IN especially on live without a net , Sammy is one helluva guitar player . To me CROSSING OVER kind of has a U2 vibe to it ,and I do like U2 alot . DADADADA DA DA , yep those 2 songs have the same groove I think .... I was working at a record store when Balance came out & I gotta hold of the Japanese import. I was jamming 'Crossing Over' in the backroom for the first time with this other guy who dug VH & I didn't notice it until he mentioned it, now I hear it everytime. Speaking of that song, I was just thinking the other day that might be my favorite Sam-era tune. That song is just too cool.

Dude that song is so cool. Sounds like the drum tracks are from the 5150 period, because they're simmons electronis drums. Way cool song though.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. I thought Crossing Over kicks ass. Probably my favorite from the Sammy era. The whole vibe of the song is very cool. I have it on the Import Single of CSLY. IMO its the best thing about that single!

I love "Crossing Over," and I noticed the "Love Walks In" similarities right away. The rhythm is the same, and the notes are a little different. I might try to figure out Crossing Over and when I get it I'll post it here.
