I've seen this written in a few places now. Can anyone confirm that this really is in the writings of Nostradamus? There was some alleged passage around the time of the US elections which seemed to describe Bush's win quite accurately - turned out that it wasn't in Nostradmaus' writings at all. Someone had just made it up.

And since when is NYC the City of God? smilies/confused.gif

well, since it's still early in the month,....we, the USA, may be considered the "King of Terror" sending a lot of thunder to a country that considers itself "City of God" I prefer to look at this as us, the USA, being the aggressors at this point....and soon smilies/mad.gif smilies/cool.gif


I'm not sure about the saying being from Nostradamus, though.

It is from Nostradamus, I have read it before,but the city of God is not New York, it is Jerusalem. Then who is the Great Leader. smilies/confused.gif

Of course when the Gulf War was going on, everyone was on the Nostradamus kick.

I think from everything I've heard about his predictions they all come back to the same thing---

that the next "antichrist" will be an Arab.

I can't quite work out whether the first part was written by a high school student from Canada as an example of how vague a prophecy could be or if he's referring to an actual passage from Nostradamus.

Seems like every net search for the phrase leads back to that kid's page though.

Hold on all let me check - I have a couple of Nostradamus book with this passage in it - except I dont think it says ninth month...let me get it and post the EXACT words - mind you, there are dozens of translations that can be derived from it - originally many thought the date of this "attack" would be 7/1999 but that never happened...hold please smilies/smile.gif

OK here are a couple of intriguing passages - think what you will...

OK - those are the ones I found that i think pertain the most to recent events - hopefully he has no "forseeing powers" and its just coincidence, if not...THIS SUCKS.

Somebody on Howard Stern read this,but was later proven a hoax when Gary read the actual prediction. But still scary from what the last person found from Nostradumass smilies/wink.gif

i think we need to all stop with all this speculation and mind-boggling coincidences (like that whole adding the plane #'s thing)

we need to just stick together as a country and hopefully our president and government will do what is nessecary to see to it that this never happens again here or abroad.

and i just hope everyone in the VHFORUMS family are Ok and haven't lost any friends/family in this tragedy.
