View Full Version : Chili Peppers in Chicago
I just attended the Chili Peppers/ Stone Temple Pilots show in Chicago. Quite frankly I don't have an answer for this, but the show really sucked. The sound was weak and the crowd just wasn't into them. I was really excited about the show but was left disappointed. They play seven songs or so then left for their oncore. I am not sure how many songs they played for that becuse I left along with half the crowd.
Has anyone else had a bad experience at their shows? Or am I just nuts!

It was at the World Music Theatre.
Hey Wombat...WOW! I was there too! I was in sec 102 row EE. Where were you?
I was also disappointed. The beginning of the concert rocked! They kicked it off playing my 4 fav songs. But then I didn't have anything to look forward to. Then everything slowed down, and they lacked energy. I left at the beginning of their encore, I heard it was 25 minutes long. I still had a good time though, and STP kicked ass!

I had lawn seats, I could see the whole band and stage. I just felt that THE WORLD is just to big for them. My friends and agreed that they are best seen in a small venue. I think their music looses something in such a big place. And Yes I thought STP was really good. I had low expectations for them, but they sounded great. This was the first time I have lawn seats at the WORLD. Maybe I will take my own advice and never sit there again.

I was thinking the same thing, I'd like to see them at a smaller venue if I ever get the chance. I think a lot of people left disappointed with RHCP, and more impressed with STP. One guy after the show was saying RHCP should of opened for them!
I never thought a fellow VH linker might be at the show. That's pretty cool! peace
