Page 2 of the "Ed's Personal life" thread won't open for me...Just a blamk white screen...

Threads are sorta like a modification of the Source of Infection lyrics:

"Goin' up and down..."

Keep posting in the thread if possible - cuz eventually it'll work again. Bar thread's working properly again, so is the DFK thread.

We'll want to hear Brett's take, but that workaround's all I've got right now...

The second page of that thread opened for me Sacto.

Must be something on my end, because it's still not giving me the second or third page...It will if I post, but I want to read first...Oh well...

I had the same problem with that thread yesterday, Sacto. I figured it was something with my oddball system. MacOS X/IE5.1 beta.

It happened somewhere around reply 40, if I remember correctly. Once someone posted and kicked it up to 41 I had no problems.

Nah, I was using IE 5.5 (under Windows Me) last night and I got the White Screen of Death too.

IE 5.5 SP1, Windows 98 SE build 2222A, white screen of death here as well.

I'm having the same troubles too. I can't any of the additional pages to open thru IE or thru AOL. Is it my machine (probably is smilies/mad.gif )

This phenomenon just started for me last night. I am using IE 5 I believe, but I don't even know how to tell for sure.

To check your IE version:

Go to Help -&gt; About Internet Explorer

If it begins with 5.00, chances are you have the original IE 5.

If it begins with 5.50, you have a 5.5 version.

If you have 5.50.**34.0100, you're running the Windows Me Build 3401. If it's 5.50.**34.0600, that's the original IE 5.5 Build 3406. If it's 5.50.4522.1800, that's IE 5.5 SP1.

Well I removed the patch, it seems to be causing more problems than helping. So while huge threads will probably die again, at least 2 and 3 page ones won't. smilies/frown.gif
