Have some news. Just did a photo shoot with a close friend of Bart's. He paged her, with a message that he got his old job back. We didn't know if it was with the Atomic Punks or DLR Band. She called him, and this is directly out of Bart's mouth, Bart said Dave rehired him and the DLR band is back. Bart said it's a done deal. There will be no VH reunion. At least not until after the DLR Band tour. It's done. The Van Halen's are fucking morons. All they had to do was plug in and make the music. I hope Warner brothers drops them.

Damn, This would not be a good sign.

Do you really think the DLR Band is back? That would suck. I love Dave solo, but his band is just... a bar band. I can't see them inspiring him to write great tunes, or vice versa. The only kind of solo band that I'd like to see Dave back with would have to include Vai.

I really don't want to see another Dave solo effort because I always find myself trying to compare it with VH and I always end up dissapointed and wishing I was listening to Dave Van Halen instead. If I do have to put up with another one, I think Vai would be my best choice....or Zack Wylde.

I had to share a funny with you guys. I was talking to an old friend recently and we were talking about Van Halen. This guy told me that "He liked most Van Halen except for when Vai was the guitarist". I thought it was pretty funny because this guy was SERIOUS.

This one actually sounds plausible to me. Maybe they've all agreed to take a break while Ed continues his recovery or whatever it is, and DLR is going to tour singing the classics as he did in 1999. Then they release the new album in late 4th quarter, and do a tour then.

But ME was never very accurate about DLR news.

It just doesn't sound good to me. Why would DLR be in such a hurry to get back out on the road, or god forbid record another DLR Band album? If either of those happen, we aren't going to see him back with VH anytime soon.

Ok, listen up. IF the reunion WAS off. Van Halen might still not say a word, BUT DAVE would be telling everybody, because there would be no reason for him to be quiet any longer. And I think that we all know that.

The post at the Army was yesterday afternoon. ME usually updates at around 5am EST. So that guy had them beat by quite a bit. Now, that doesn't mean squat. He could be their source. He talked like it was a first person event. Having heard some things about Bart Walsh's tastes in "friends" on the tour last summer, it makes sense that he'd know girls who might be involved in "photo shoots." http://216.10.25.192/vhlforum/smilies/wink.gif

Who the hell knows. Now we've got a couple of conflicting rumors. I like the other one a hell'uva lot better.

if dlr band does hit the road again i hope they will do solo dave material. it could be the last time anyone hears his solo material for awhile. if they do tour again bart should tell dave no eruption for me! im also curious as to what bart walsh can do outside of playing old van halen tunes. after i read his interview at vhnd i felt a little bit more compassion for him. 3

If the reunion is on hold for some reason, you're right. I'd love to hear DLR solo stuff. Hearing A Little Ain't Enough would just make my day.

I agree cyclouns7 if Dav is not back with VH then I would love to hear him with someone like Zak-a non eddie sounding guitar player sota speak..Zakk is a great guitar player and he defiently can ripp!!!
