I play a Pearl 5pc DLX series. The 'D' stands for discontinued I think. It's 7ply maple. Sounds good, drums are just a little too big for my current tastes, but someday I'll remedy that. They've been rode hard and put away wet, but always reliable.
My cymbals are all Zildjian, with the exception of some Sabian Hats I ripped off from high school. I couldn't resist, but at least I swaped them my shitty no-namers.
My parents bought me a Rock Ride and a Rock Crash some 15+ years ago. The crash is long destroyed, but that ride is as good as ever, maybe even better with age.
I use a tiny little A splash in combo with a 8" K splash to get a cool swish effect. Otherwise, one A crash, a K crash and a 10" Z splash that might as well be a crash the thing is so loud. I've got this 10" 'Tiger' splash to the side, kinda hidden from view ya know, that sounds much different if you get my drift.
I mounted a tamborine and a vibraslap for those quite passages.
My pride and joy is my piccalo snare. I love her so much. Always sounds wicked in whatever setting. She's a Mapex 13" Birds Eye Maple beauty. Yeah!
Set up like a jazz kit with an extra floor. Check out the pic in the mug shot thread in the Non-Music forum.
