Ok, most encores last 2 songs. I am not sure which 2 songs these 2 guys will use, but I will make kind of a prediction.
1. "Best of both worlds"...just makes sense to me.
2. "Damn good"...This would be better done with Roth and Ed, but not gonna happen.

Any other 2 songs for suggestions for the encore?

Sam and Dave walk out together alone, acoustic guitars in hand. They tear into a stellar performance of "Could This Be Magic?" Sammy playing lead slide, Dave playing rhythym. Both sharing vocals. The next song would be "Best Of Both Worlds" accompanied by both Dave's band and the Waboritas. They could wind it up with a rendition of The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again". "Thank You! I know you've had alot to drink so take your time and please drive safe. We'll see you next summer." Everybody from both bands lined up, arms raised, holdin' hands with Sammy And Dave at the center. Big bow out.

That is how the encore should take place.

I like JJay's idea.
I also like the idea's of something from VDIII. :D

BUT for me..I think they should sing something from Van Halen...Perhaps "Where Have All The Good Times Gone". I can see a nice exchange from them.

Let's see....

Dave: All my life I never stop to worry 'bout a thing
Open up and shout it out, never try to sing

Wonderin' if I've done it wrong
Will this depression last for long?
Won't you tell me

Audience:
Where have all the good times gone?
Where have all the good times gone?
Where have all the good times gone?

Sammy: Once we had an easy ride an' always felt the same
Time was on our side, we had everything to gain

Let it be like yesterday
Is that me or Happy Days?

Dave:
Ma and Pa look back on all the things they used to do
Sammy:
They never had no money and they always told the truth

Dave: Daddy didn't need no little toys
Sammy: Mommy didn't need no little boys
Sam & Dave: Won't you tell me

Audience: Where have all the good times gone?
Where have all the good times gone?
Where have all the good times gone?

S & D Ow!

(Guitar Solo exchange between Vic & Bart )

Dave: Yesterday was such an easy game for you to play
Sammy: Aw, but then let's face it, things are easier today

Dave: Guess you need some bringing down
Sammy: Get your feet back on the ground
S & D: Won't you tell me

Audience: Where have all the good times gone?
Where have all the good times gone?

Whaddya Think? ;)

JJ and Mard have some interesting ideas, but there's a Hagar song from Marching to Mars that I could actually see the 2 of them pulling off live.

It's got a James Brown soul kinda vibe and is all about the Lying Dutchmen anyhow.......

"Would You Do It For Free?"

I've always thought that DAVE could do an awesome version of FINISH WHAT YA STARTED.

How bout a Duet; Sam 1st Verse, Dave Second Verse; alternating chorus.

Or they could alternat lines in the same verse:

EXAMPLE:

SAM: I like to look at the long run, take each step, one by one.

DAVE: Right on time, you will arrive by keeping the dream alive.

SAM: Well, its alive and its kicking, inside of me.

DAVE/SAM: C'mon, baby pleeeaaseee!

CHORUS:
SAM: C'mon baby finish what ya started.
DAVE: I'm incomplete!
SAM: That ain't no way to treat the broken-hearted.
DAVE: C'mon, baby, finish me! Baby, you say yes.
SAM/DAVE: BABY, BABY, BABY, BAIEEEEEE!!!!!

Now, if we could only get Mikey on backing vocals, that would be the shit!

do the Nerf Herders' tune Van Halen! Would need some slight modifications to it though (changing the "Sammy Hagar" line to say "Eddie and Alex"), and a few other changes.... something like this

Is this what you wanted...
Eddie and Alex.....
Eddie and Alex, is this what you wanted, man?
David and Sammy...
Do this shit better than you, buddy!
I'll never buy your lousy records again, again,
again, never again!

Do any of you really think Dave will be able to remember the fucking words to a sammy era song? HA graemlins/thumb.gif . Actually I think it would be appropraite if they both did "Little White Lies" together...

Dave could always pull some fucked up fan out of the crowd to sing a Van Hagar cheese ballad.....

Like Sammy did to Jump on the 5150 tour ;)

I'll do it :D

" graemlins/yell.gif HOW DO I KNOW WHEN IT'S CHEESE? I CAN'T TELL YOU BUT IT SMELLS LIKE CHEDDAR. OHHHHHHH..... graemlins/drunk.gif "

SH: And rough him up good in the process.

Three out of four former frontmen for Van Halen agree - don't let FORD sing ballads ;)

Shit... I ain't seen a show yet where the security goons are bigger than me :D

Anyway, FORD would only sing a cheese ballad if I was VERY shitfaced. And since they only serve Coors Light pisswater at the Gorge, that probably ain't gonna happen.

With Both Sam and Dave at Vocals at the same time, I'd pick:
Why can't this be love, and Hot for theacher, oh my god that would kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm stoked
