I was listening through my MP3 collection an found a recording of "You Really Got me" that was live some point in 1983. When I listen to it, I noticed that it is probably some of the best live recording I've ever heard. It was mixed and all really well. Dave's voice sounded like the best it's ever been. Does anyone know about that exact show I am talking about? Does anyone have it? please let me know

Hola bro,
It's possible that the version you have is from the US Festival.
If they play Happy Trails in the middle and if Dave says something like "fuck the concert let's go accross the freeway and get a drink." then that is in fact where it is from.
The version I have has been cleaned up, but it still rocks for sure.
It's funny, because on my copy of the US Festival, You Really Got Me has probably the worst sound on the entire discs.
Your right Glen, I think the version I have must be from the Showtime special. Dave's vocals have been cleaned up bigtime. After watching the video I see what you are talking about.
The Caracas 83 show has killer sound, it may be from that one.
Cool rapping (Spanish?) from Dave in the Caracus show.
By the way Greg, I just sent you an Email, so keep them eyes peeled.http://www.vhlinks.com/vhlforum/smilies/smile.gif

Punk, I think it was Buenos Aires. Not 100% sure, though.

It can't be from the US festival because DLR sucked big time on that one!!! He forget's the words to half the songs and sings off key it's embarassing!

US Festival--Dave was howlin' like a wounded wolf. How can anyone complain about that show? How about the Somebody Get Me A Doctor/Girl Gone Bad/I'm So Glad medley? How about that Ice Cream Man?
No one complains about Mick Jagger singing off key.
