Thanks for those facts on a "Review Board" dude. By the way, how many number one songs/albums did Van Halen have with Roth? How many with Sammy? Get it together man. They were both great.

If you went to the August 10th show, please feel free to add a reply with your review here.

Let's try to keep this thread for REVIEWS ONLY, and not for discussion. That way, it will be easy for people to read them.

If you want to discuss this particular show, just make a new thread for that.

Thanks!

Undisputable facts with a spin...Rock n' roll was the in-genre of music in the 70s to mid 80s not late 80's and 90s. Hagar had all the number one albums with Van Halen. Hagar's solo career has outsold Roth's. The only reason that Roth is able to tour this summer playing these venues is because of Hagar--an undisputable fact. Ask anybody in the business. Noone would book Roth. Still, I like both eras of Van Halen and still listen to all the albums all the time.

don't kid yourself hagar needed roth to pull this off my friend. he would have had to do a 3 or 4 bband bill to play these venues a.k.a nugent, deep purple etc. .... i like both but Sam talks out of his ass all the time. the other day he was talking about how the Atlantic City venue was so small and the stages would have to be stripped down and it would be all about the music. HELLO!! Daves whole show it about the music, Sam's the one who's brought out everything but the kitchen sink to hang with Dave on this tour!!!!

<<Undisputable facts with a spin...Rock n' roll was the in-genre of music in the 70s to mid 80s not late 80's and 90s.>>

Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that VH with DLR is better than VH with Hagar.

<<Hagar had all the number one albums with Van Halen.>>

The fact that Hagar had all the number one albums with VH means nothing. The self-titled album only reached somewhere in the top 20, but it sold 10 million copies, a few million more than "Balance," which reached number one.

<<Hagar's solo career has outsold Roth's.>>

I think Sammy and DLR have had about the same amount of success as a solo artist. DLR had two platinum albums, and a gold one. Sammy has had about that.

The only reason that Roth is able to tour this summer playing these venues is because of Hagar--an undisputable fact. Ask anybody in the business. Noone would book Roth.>>

If Hagar were touring alone, there is no way he'd be playing these arenas shows. DLR and Hagar are co-dependendent.

Still, I like both eras of Van Halen and still listen to all the albums all the time.>>

Amen

How many headlining SOLO ARENA Tours did Sammy ever have?????? hmmmmm tick tock tick tock...

times up!!!

0, as in NONE, as in ziltch, as in Nil!!!!

Dave has three solo headlining arena tours...that I can think of, EEAS, Skyscraper, and the ALAE tour. when he came to the NYC/NJ/Philly area Diamond Dave was playing the MSG(NYC), The Brendan Byrne Arena(now Continental Airlines Arena)(NJ), The Philadelphia Spectrum(Philly), The Garden State Art center(NJ), The Nassau Coliseum(NY, Long Island)...

This is the most populated area of the country people, and the center of the world, NYC..

where did Sammy play on his first solo tour after VH??? hmmmmm oh yeah, the State Theater in NJ...capacity???? the capacity 1800...

hmmmmmmmm where did Sam play when he came to NYC a couple of years ago???? oh yeahhhhhhhh Irving Plaza(capacity is between 1075 and 1200)...

I guess you forgot that DLR's third tour (ALAE) was cancelled after only a couple of shows due to poor ticket sales.

What the fuck are you talking about man??? CLRWVH started this BS...get your facts straight...</font>
Actually Mr. Cock, the first 2 post in this thread (other than Brett's) are from YOU and Sammy Who?, both of which offer NO review what so ever other than offerring a link to a DLR web site (where we all know we will get totally unbiased reviews )

The point is that both of these artists are great. These specific threads are for the purpose of expressing your views on a specific show. We all know where the army's web site is.

So now YOU get your facts straight!

Thanks for your time Cock!
