"Say Uncle," "You Wear It Well," "River Wide" and "Left for Dead."
Through the official website, we all know that Van Halen worked on new tracks with Gary to be on the follow up to Van Halen 3. We even got some titles (above).
I didn't put this in the boot forum, and move it there if that's where it should go, but I wanted to appeal to a bigger audience.
Does anyone know anything else besides the title to these songs? Do boots exist of them?
I'm sure various members of the 3 Brigade would have loved the follow up to 3....hey I've always been curious. Mishar, you seem to be an expert on the Cherone era...got any info?

Gary said he used most of the original lyrics, but the arrangement and the music were totally different.

I've sad many times on here that I despise VHIII, but would have loved to hear the follow up. With a full tour under their belt and going back to doing the music first and then the vocals would have produced a much better album. Would have much rather had them continue with Cherone than have three new songs in seven years and now a part time front man.

I'd rather hear Sammy's "Stairway" over Gary's.

Straight from the pages of the Inside magazine Issue no. 15 some of the other working titles for the album were Rock n' Roll Cliche, I want her anway, More than yesterday, Love again and Miss you Much. The album with an anticipated release date of spring 2000 would have also featured a revamped That's Why I love you-one of the left overs from 3 and also was to have a track that would have featured Michael Anthony on vocals.
I'm certainly one of the people that would have loved to hear the follow up to 3 especially considering how excited the band was about the music they were producing. It was a ballsy decison to bring Gary into the band in the first place and it would have taken more balls to have released a second album with him especially with the luke warm reception of 3-I guess we'll never know.

When I first joined this site back in 1999, I was excited about the new album with Gary being released. Then I heard a rumour that David Coverdale was joining VH and replacing Gary, then Gary left the band a few weeks later. Coverdale never joined VH though, so that was a false rumour.

Was Miss You Much a cover of Janet Jackson's song? J/K. I was watching VH1 Classic this weekend and Eddie Trunk had Lemmy from Motorhead on as a guest for Metal Mania. Lemmy wanted to do Janet's Black Cat for his new album and said he thinks she's a great artist.
