I just watched Satch on the HD channel again last week....amazing! (although it looks like he could buy some pants and a shirt a size or two larger.)
When does Satch usually air on HDNet? I've been looking for Sam's show as well. No luck. The best thing I've seen on HD Channels so far was Clapton's Crossroads Festival on PBS.

I think Paul Gilbert would be a great choice

I hope they don't tour using that name. Nobody would know who the fuck it is.

Sundays they run concerts all day long. Satriani seems to be on every 5 or 6 weeks. Sammy a little less frequently. Just check out their web-site for the list of shows. Click on "schedules" ---- "HDNet Canada"

EDIT: Looking at that pic, Sammy sure loves red.

On second thought, I don't think it's gonna be Joe.

MESSAGE FROM JOE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am happy to announce we are on schedule for a new CD release date of April 1st, '08, and the Joe Satriani 2008 European Tour! Follow this link http://www.satriani.com/road/ for details on tickets and Premium Packages. I have yet to decide on a four, or, five piece band... that should keep me busy for the next few months...

While I'm at it I should come up with an album title too! At the moment, John Cuniberti and I are busy mixing the new tracks at The Plant in Sausalito, and they sound amazing! Right across the hall Journey has been recording a new record as well, so, it's been a cool environment to work in; lots of creativity in the air... And, hearing Neal Schon's guitar work drifting through the door and down the hallway has been very inspiring!

Check out the photo section below for some pics of the sessions...

http://www.satriani.com/perl/2004/ph...ir=2007-Studio

That's all for now...

Joe

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like he's gonna be busy this year...

Wow, that's enough for now! He sounds pretty busy. Nice environment.

Now why can't I work in that environment?

Wow!!! Looking at those pictures from the studio makes me wonder...does EVERY band/musician other than Van Halen truly understand what fans want to see? Good on Joe!!!

Summer's getting close Sammy - when are you going to let us know who the "superstar guitarist" is?

Never even heard of a nuno. Sammy said a superstar... which would mean someone who is well recognized. I can guarantee if you ask anyone on the street about whoever this guy is, they are going to say "What the fuck is a nuno?".
