Russian fighter and gear closes November 11

A Russian MiG 21 built in 1965 is currently available on eBay, with bidding up to $90,000 at the time of this story. The MiG is described as subject to the "standard FAA operational restrictions for 'experimental, exhibition'" uses.

The warplane comes with ground gear and radios, and delivery will cost an estimated additional $10,000.

Oh yeah. Thats mine. If any linker wants it, you can discount the shipping because I'm gracious like that. I'm putting this up with very low reserve as we are looking for a four door that may be more practicle for kids. Don't let the 0-60 time hold you back. The 0-600 time more than makes up for it. There are the regular chips and scratches that comes with a vehicle this age, but overall its in great shape. Handles great! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Back in the early 90s there was a glut of MiG-15 and MiG-17s on the market. They were old Polish stock for the most part, and could be had for about $20,000. Of course, they were in cut up in crates and would likely need a new engine ($$$). [img]smile.gif[/img]

I've seen a privately owned MiG-21 doing low passes at an airshow. Beautiful plane! There are quite a few privately owned 1960s vintage fighters out there, and it probably won't be more than 10 years until we start seeing F-16s being owned privately.
