They were great tonight. I did not expect them to be this good. I've seen all of the strange youtube stuff and the weird solo's, the drum stick stuff, etc. There was none of that tonight. He flat out kicked ass!!!

Ed's solo was near perfect. He played spanish fly, cathedral and eruption. Not straight renditions but it was almost like he was going to show everyone that he could come out and do just that. No noodling, just tried to play them straight up. It was very very good, no, great. 9.5 out of 10. I would think close to LWAN. His amp still needs more harmonics, but I like the raw sound he getting.

Ed was sober, the crowd was not.

I give the San Antonio crowd a big thumbs up. Everyone stood the whole time. The crowd had great energy for a bunch of old folks. (I'm one of them)

Eds guitars were nice, he played the cream new Wolfgang, a charvel black/white, a cool looking patchwork looking charvel unlike and I have ever seen and the Frankie. Has he been playing the Frankie that much this tour? If he has, I missed it.

Dave was over the top and his stories tonight were very long. Much more interesting than what I have seen on Youtube. 10 out of 10

Alex was as great as always.

Wolfie did a good job. He looks older with the new short haircut.

Ed did have a bandage on his left hand but it did not seem to affect his playing.

Flat out awesome show. Same set list and no real big changes that I could see other than Ed's solo.

Our central Texas brothers and sisters seem to be a little tight on posting reviews...

Here's one of the best reviews/color commentaries I've seen for the whole 07/08 tour from last night's show!! Enjoy!!

Clearly we didn't attend the same show....then again I was sober and this reviewer, by his own admission was not.

My wife and I had 12th row on Wolfies side.

I can't say much more than the first review said.

They were ON..all night. The only thing that was lacking to me was the over all volume. It could have been louder. Oh yeah..Ed's cream colored guitar is nice, but too bland looking. I wished he had played the original more. I think it was only on little guitars that he took it out.
And as said above, that black and yellow guitar he played was very different from any of the other tape jobs I have seen up to this point.

We had a blast and so did they..you could really tell it was genuine..

I took a lot of pics, but it was from my phone, so of course they are lame at best. They didn't even check us at the door, I am very pissed I didn't bring the camera because we were so close...

I'd say it was one of the best shows I have seen in a long long time. Well worth the 148.00 per ticket.
