Guys,
I was at the 2/20 Ft Lauderdale show. Here's my take on things...
Eddie got hurt when he fell after his solo and then got back up to play Aint Talking Bout Love...he looked physically shaken when he went off the stage for the encore and I honestly feel he hurt himself.
When they came back out to do 1984 and Jump...it looked like to me that Ed wasnt doing well at that point and when he left the stage, he pushed the amps down in frustration.
Is it at all possible he re-injured his hip? He did have hip replacement surgery back in 1996...
I do not think Ed was drinking. He played well that night and they had great energy.
I think he is hurt from something tour related...not drinking
Quite possible. I'm no medical professional, but he did not look on Jump in that video like he did up here in Jax four nights earlier.

I was thinking the same thing as you, that Ed may have hurt himself during that fall. Could be his hip, maybe an arm or a leg, or even a concussion. With all the rehab and cancer shit flying around yesterday, something as sensible as our take on the matter was bound to get lost in the ether of it all.
Hmmm, I've been reading all this.
I have no sources and know nothing, but will give you my medical opinion which I am competent to use...
#1. Ed had a hip replacement. Some (alot) people with hip replacements end up doing both hips at some point. I have read somewhere (and it could be false) that he needed both hips done eventually. I only recall 1 being replaced. If he hurt that replaced hip then yes he may need to have that looked at and "tended to" or if he fell on the other he may have been badly bruised
#2 At the end when he raises his hands up his body language looks like he is ready to bolt, he didn't hang out but for a quick bow and wave, he just left more quickly than I saw in NC or in youtube Jump vids. It's hard to tell about the stack? Bad angle, could have bumped it, shoved it, over corrected, Wolf could have bumped it?
I am just chiming in... I hope it's nothing serious, I pray it's not booze or drugs or very serious illness. I hope it's easily fixed and Ed id OK
I would rather have him around for a VERY long time. Even if there is no tour but new tunes, that would rock!

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him.... Just postpone the tour for a couple of weeks.

thats great. I just want to say if Ed is ill and needs to get his health back then they need to shut down this tour and let him get his health. Hell money is great but if your sick you need to stop and get better. I hope the guys shut it down if he's sick. I'd rather have ed with us living a good life then him playing and pushing himself when he's sick. We were all blessed to have such a great yr with the boys back, I am happy with that and I have 5star for the new york show but rather have them shut it down if he needs to get better.

Your hip can't take the pounding so hard jumping is out
Your brother's got arthritis in his neck and you got calcium deposits on most of your joints so jammin' is out.
So what we'll be calling on is good ole' fashion blunt force trauma. Horsepower.
Some heavy duty cast iron pile drivin' riffs that will hurt so much they'll rattle their ancestors.
Everytime you hit em' with a riff it'll feel like they tried kissin' the expressway.
Let's start buildin' some hurtin' bombs"
Looks to me like Ed just bumped the stack while walking around them tried to catch the lower ones and over corrected and pushed them to far. Maybe Wolfie actually started the tumble and thats why he was running.

LOL. Y'all really need to quit making excuses, minimizing and playing doctor...
Watch the video. Ed hit the opening chord on Jump at :42 and his guitar is in tune with the keyboards.
At 1:12 in the video he gestures toward stage left and proceeds to pile-drive the headstock of his guitar into the floor. Either he dislodged the neck from the joint at the body or knocked the floyd-rose off it's mounting pins. From there the guitar is clearly out of tune.
This isn't a health issues nor his tech handing him the wrong guitar or mis-tuned guitar.
In a visible display of anger Ed slammed the guitar into the floor.
On his way off stage he didn't "bump" the stack of amps. He plowed it with his shoulder and the amp head fell behind and then he shoved the 2, 4x12 speaker cabinets forward onto the stage. These things are heavy as hell and a bump won't knock em over.
IMO, this is clearly a violent outburst while leaving the stage. Vertigo doesn't cause people to trash their guitars mid-song and dump amp stacks...

Woke up this mornin, got Blue Moon in your eyes...
I watched that same video yesterday, and thought the exact same things... Also, if his hip was hurt, why was he still jumping around? The angry rockstar trip is kinda silly at 53 years old. Come on Axl... Those cabinets almost landed on Roth's leg. That was childish...
I've given up making any commments... Ed can do no wrong in some people's eyes, and can do no right in others...
VH has not gotten a dime from me in over 10 years, so they can do what they want... They owe me nothing. If they want to lie to their fans, go ahead...
Good luck Ed...

to me it looks like an angry ed taking a fit....Im sure alcohol has to do with it..but nowhere is eddie playing as bad as he did in 2004...perhaps they just want to stop him before it gets too out of control...
keep in mind im sure theres ALOT of contracts signed for this tour where they would be fined/lose alot of $$ if eddie was found to be drunk...the Aerosmith/Motley Crue tour was written into their contracts that if Vince Neil did a drunken performance they would be fined alot of $$
