Not specifically directed at you, Cooler. Your post just inspired my thought !
I get what you're sayin to a point, but some people paid literally hundreds of dollars for those shows. Asking for an explanation as to why they are being postponed does not make you a paparazzi.

Okay so even if it is something big time personal, then make something harmless up - "Al's got the flu...Dave sprained an ankle....Ed ran out of tampons..." It ain't like these guys have never told tall tales before! But to say nothing when people spent hard earned money for tix...it just isn't cool.

I hear you. Forget about these last shows not being "passionate." I'm afraid they're gonna be absolute TRAIN WRECKS! If there is any passion, it may be in the form of a fist fight. Ed is NOT GOOD at hiding his issues on stage when he is about to lose it.

This is EXACTLY whta I'm fearing we get the rest of the way.

Poor Tiger Woods. What has he gotten himself involved with? Tiger introduces the mighty VH and Ed stumbles out with a Samurai haircut and fake tatoos all over himself.

Where did I do that ?

I'm sitting on $700 worth of tickets myself for April 1st. If it gets cancelled, oh well, life goes on. I'm almost 40 frickin' years old, had enough ups and downs in my own life, that the ups and downs of Van Halens don't mean that much to me.

If they put out a record, I'll buy it.
If they tour, I'll check out a show or two.
If my show gets cancelled, I'll catch them next time, if there is one.

Outside of any of that, who gives a fuck? I don't care who Ed's sleeping with, whether he's off the wagon, who Val's slept with, who's feuding, who's going through puberty, who's playing backing bass, who's sick, who's deaf.....whatever.

My own family and our day to day bullshit problems, weigh on my mind ten thousand more times than what these millionaires might be going through.

This place has become a big fucking sewing circle, where we just all sit around and speculate and gossip and pick at each other like a bunch of 80 year old women.
Anymore, I just come around here for the humor and irony of my friends, and to continue relationships that at this point, go WAY beyond the comings and goings of a rock band that's way past their prime.

Something told me to catch them early....glad I did!

I'm on the same boat as you. I read a bunch of these comments. I was at the Tampa show, 2nd row, Ed's side of the stage. Never saw him drink and in no way seemed drunk. (Did see some arthritic looking knuckles though) Anyhoo, it was GREAT! I repeat..NO EVIDENCE OF A DRUNK ED!!!!

Then why are you here? If you take those things off this forum, there wouldn't be anything left.

Ooooo, JEEEZ, do I have some news - just can't say EXACTLY what is going down right now, or who my sources are, but I can't help but SAY SOMETHING because nobody else is. I have a lot of loyalty to my fellow Linkers (one of whom passed me the news) so, I'll just say this: Folks, things are DEFINITELY NOT GOOD in the VH camp right now...

Take it for what it's worth (and feel free to call bullshit on me) but I believe the Dallas show may be the last...at least for this go-round...IF the ticket holders are lucky...

To my source, sorry - I couldn't resist...

Get 'em whilst they're hot.

sixstring, you now have 468 new PM's.

Am I right? Or is it more?

You'll note that not one of them is from me. I don't stoop to that.

But, if you wanted to PM me...
