Alright, well...

Back on the 2004 tour the Toronto thread was one of the biggest I've ever seen on these boards and it started well in advance of the show. I thought I'd do the same this time and hopefully get some kind of pre-show gathering together with this thread. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the hard rock at skydome before the show in T.O. a few years back, so this time around I say we get some linkers together.

So, I guess we can all utilize this thread to make plans for before the show, talk about who will be doing what, and everything in between. I know I will be online at 10 am sharp on saturday purchasing tickets as I was up north for the VIP sale. I hope to see many of you in Toronto for the return of the greatest rock band in the history of the universe!

Im definitely in bangerang--i was actually thinking of starting this thread after the on sale on saturday but you beat me to it! This thread was the biggest on vhlinks back in 2004 and what made it great was there was no mudslinging---we all got along and came to celebrate the worlds greatest rock band! I am excited as hell about this show but would not drop a dime for 5 star ( i did 2 in 2004---1 in toronto and 1 in hamilton) unless there was a soundcheck. Im gonna do the onsale on saturday but will be aptient--i wont spend the quick $$$ to get decent tix---im holding out for the rerelease of tix if I dont score good seats on saturday--ebay and craigs list are other options and so is the option of waiting a week before showtime after the frenzy has dies---a big bottoms up! to TO VH fans! Cabo Brent, jetguy5150, EvH_316_5150 lets get this party started!!!!

hahaha...I remember meeting up with you guys in '04. This time, I won't be wearing my VH3 shirt

...but I would like to wear a "Where's Mike?" shirt if someone makes one. I have an issue with tickets, though. I work Saturday morning and can't get out of it. Also, I have nobody to go with. Anyone want to purchase an extra ticket and I can reimburse you? I'm looking for the closest seats possible through Ticketmaster...none of this ILAA crap. If any ladies are going, I'd make a great date

Oh wow, I just realized this show is on thanksgiving sunday for those of us in canada. I'll bring the stuffing and squash!

Will be in NYC tomorrow when they go on sale. Still on the fence about even going. Will probably come down to a coin flip. Or perhaps wait for a 2nd show.

I'm a Burlington guy. And I think the stage is horrible. The least "Van Halen" style stage in history. EVH_316_5150 said it best in another thread when he asked, "What time does Cher hit the stage?" In hindsight I think this stage will really take the focus off of Mike not being there. Can you imagine Wolfgang having to stand on the Mike's side on the 1984 stage? He would have no chance of filling that space.
