I'll be there just like I was in '04. Too bad I cant stand in line and buy tickets and get seats in the FIRST row out on EVH's side like I did in '04.

Kills me that it is on the Live Nation website and reported on the radio and in the newspaper BEFORE it is on the official website or to those on the mailing list.
Not that it really matters, they are pretty mcuh selling out every night anyway, but still, it makes me chuckle.

No kidding DD. I had a resident walk in to the OR at 7AM and say, "Van Halen will be here on Feb. 4th." I'm like, WTF! I was just on their site last night!
Oh well. After KC, I'm not super excited. Still going though. AZ

I'd like to go, but I'll be on my way to Sioux City this Saturday for Hagar's show when tickets for this new VH concert goes on sale.
And, should it snow here like it did this past February, I'm not too keen on driving east on HWY 80 up to Omaha in the middle of a snowstorm. That's all I need is to have the highway get shut down, y'know?
I'm still thinking about it, though...

It depends on how many tickets they actually sell/sold.
I did the stage tix thing for Hagar in Vegas back in '02, and though it was a very cool and memorable experience, it can get a bit crowded, what with people vying for certain spots and shit. We were lucky in '02 because there were only about 10 of us on stage, and that made it easier not only for Sam to move around, but for us "regular" people as well. Plus, I found it kinda hard to really hear anything because you're more or less behind the monitors. All I remember hearing were Lauser's drums. Sam was about a minute into "Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy" before I even recognized what song he was singing.
I'll be Row 8 on the floor on Saturday.

AZ, you'll have a great time! I did the KC stage last July, it was a blast. Party all the way. Saw Mikey standing off to the side watching Sam for the first few songs. Waved at us once and then pointed to Sam and the band to say 'watch those guys'.
Hope they still do the stage walk, that was the highlight. Make sure you bring your camera and save a couple of shots for the end. I got a good stage photo of Mike and should have had one of Sam and me too, but my film ran out (not a digi) and my buddy couldn't make his work. Oh well, had a blast.
Anyway, won't make it Souix City sadly. Might try to get some cheap seats for VH here in Feb though. I went and saw them in KC last month.
Oh and Vince is right, the sound won't be as good but the view and other perks are worth it.

After seeing them in KC last month, I'm thinking along the lines of doing the same thing as well.

...yep, I'll be there.
Even though I was HUGELY disappointed with the second half of the KC show last month, I will DEFINITELY be attending the Omaha gig...more than likely shelling out another couple hundred $$ to get as close as possible to quite possibly the last chance to see EVH live on tour.
...hopefully, one of the saving graces to this 2/4/08 show will be that the holiday break between tour legs will recharge and "refocus" Ed's energies.
...we'll see, won't we?...

I guess...
I'd like to take my son with me this time. I don't think I'll be going the $149 ticket route, either. I'll most likely wait until the date draws closer, then purchase some cheap seats.
