Unless they face off against the Bears in the playoffs. Then it'll be a different story
Hurrah for NFL football!

I'm on board with the Niners as well. Pat Willis is easily one of my favorite players to watch in the NFL. I'm not going to comment on the Crabtree situation, nor should those players until he's officially apart of that team. Bes of luck to them out west.
As for my Eagles. They'll have my full support, as they do every year. I don't always agree with the moves they make, including the Mike Vick deal, but I feel they have a strong chance to go a long way this year. I'm not a guy to look a head on the schedule, so right now the focus is on those Panthers of Carolina. The Birds always start off the year slowly, so I wouldn't be surprised if they come back home with an "L" in the loss column.
The line is 1.5, which is pretty interesting considering the Panthers are at home, and it's their chance to avenge that playoff home loss to Arizona. Not going to predict a score. Just want a good game and hope both teams come out of it healthy.

I'll second that, Sucka. Panthers have been bitten by the injury bug all preseason...Stewart and Beason both returned to the lineup this week, though. Should be a good (close) game!
Wasn't paying attention to the Commish's ruling, but is (Con)Vick eligible to play right now, or not?

Here's to hoping the Patriots, Jaguars and Buccaneers all have competitive seasons. It would really be nice to see the Jaguars take a step forward, but there are 16 games between now and the answer.

I like what the Jags offer, but being in a division with Indy and Tennesse, along with an improving Houston team, is tough.

Nice to see that there are folks pulling for The 49ers this year.....Seems alot of it has to do with Coach Singletary......If you are a fan of football, how can you not root for a guy like Mike to succeed.....he is everything that is right about the game.....
As far as The Niner's chances to have a playoff year?......realistically, it will be an uphill battle all year.....still issues on both sides of the ball in the trenches....SF can't pass block or put pressure on opposing QB's......Linebackers are solid but, secondary is just OK at best.....they should be one of the top rushing teams with Gore and Coffee.....it remains to be seen if Shaun Hill can maintain his winning ways, since I'm not sold on his reciever corps yet (Crabtree or not).....I think that best case, San Francisco goes 9-7....and that might be good enough to win the west......1st game against Arizona should tell me plenty about my 2009 Niners.

Patrick Willis is easily the most underrated player in the league right now. If I was building a D, he'd be #1 easily, very easily. Plus he's a good guy, and keeps his mouth shut and lets his play talk. One of the best rags to riches story out there.

I don't really have a "team" in the NFL, just players I like, Eli and Patrick mainly.
Sure hope them Steelers get their ass kicked. I don't have fav teams, but there a few I don't like

I'm in Mexico City right now, watching the Steelers/Titans game on ESPN Deportes. NFL in Spanish is interesting. Can't wait to hear "Ben Roethlisberger es golpeado!".
