After seeing the big names that UVA has attracted (The Stones, Clapton, etc.) I have been secretly hoping that this would happen for months now. Unbelievable...can't wait!

My feelings exactly! Hadn't wanted to get my hopes up too much, but seeing the announcement this morning was like getting an early Christmas present!

This is Freakin Awesome The JPJ is An Awesome Arena I saw Clapton with Derek Trucks had Top Row of the Arena and it was still an awesome show. Its In UVA's Backyard although i dont expect to see alot of Students thier... I live in Richmond so im an hour away cant wait for this show because this show my Friends will actually go too... Everyone is buzzing about this show... this will be my fourth show in 07 Greensboro,Philly,D.C., now Charlottesville.. cant wait...

Ticket prices will probably keep a lot of the students from going, that and it's not the 80's anymore! 
Should be an awesome time, though!

John Paul Jones Arena just cancelled the ticket pre-sale that was supposed to be part of the "Keeping up with Joneses" ticket program they have. VH tickets were supposed to be sold this morning from 10 am til noon. They stated that the presale email was sent in error. What a bummer...

Yep. They actually cancelled the presale later in the day Monday (after they had sent out the initial presale e-mail earlier that morning), but they never bothered to send out a follow-up e-mail telling people that was the case. Darn them! 
I'm just curious as to who in the ticketing chain of command pulled the plug on the presale...

Am I mistaken that they're on sale at Ticketmaster? Because they're not listed there.

You have to go to the venue site- John Paul Arena Charlottesville- register, then you can buy tickets.
