Was gonna throw this into the Off-Season thread: The Devils just announced that Brendan Shanahan is off the team. So far, they're saying the decision was "amicable."

Here's to the Caps not falling apart in the post-season. To me, they have a great chance this year to go to the finals barring any injuries to "key" players. Caps vs. Bruins on Versus @ 7PM. I'm sooooo excited its hockey time again. Now I have a team I follow that has a legimate chance to go far b/c the Redskins and O's suck major donkey schlong...

The Pens online hockey radio station went live today. Right now they are playing the NHL LIVE show. After that they will have local Pittsburgh radio host Mark Madden for an hour.

just saw the power rankings on ESPN, they've got the wings pretty low considering they have been to the finals 2 years in a row. I know they lost alot of guys but I think they're gonna still be right up there in the end, Z and Datsuk are about as good a defensive forward as your gonna get along with Cleary and Draper. Defense is still going to be good.
We'll see I guess.
