I don't belive it applies to people registering PRIOR to this being enforced though - they could still start a new thread without fufilling the 20 post requirement. I may be wrong on that but I'm pretty sure that was the one loophole.

Why don't you change the system so that newbies can't post in threads until they have twenty posts?

That should keep out the riff raff.

It was early into the weekend, Brett. Fumble-fingers here can't quite find the posts, yet somehow the fellow slipped through the net. In fact, you yourself were amazed that the guy snuck through...as I recall, he was one of a relatively small handful over the last two weeks.

I was curious about the automation of the process, or if you guys literally had to weed them out manually.

If you can figure out who it is, let me know I'm curious. Yeah it's all automatic, there's nothing we do. No one can post a new topic until they have 30 days AND 20 posts under their belt.

GaryCherone, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1: Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

2: If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Well I could agree with this system, but then again the noobs the really want to stick around that have questions or want to share stuff... this "30 day AND 20 post" thing kinda kills the joy of wanting to share & be part of this cool group.

For example, me, I have at this moment 23 post and if you read through all of them you'll see I aint here to jerk people around or to cause shit... smy time and yours is valuable. So to have to wait another 3 weeks before I can start a post is somewhat of a pain.

Just my 2 cents.

It may be inconvenient, but it was also inconvenient for the community to have dozens of worthless new threads each day. We've tried to find a balance. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.

In the meantime, I'm sure there are ample threads available that would fit whatever you might want to share. After eight years, it's pretty rare that we get a new topic that is truly new.

OK then...which thread addresses how to improve the 2007 VH Tour? (keep in mind, I'm not talking about how to improve the Greensboro show or the Philly show or the Charlotte show). I'm talking about constructive criticism for the band itelf (should they read it) on the tour for those of us who are going from city to city.
