one other thing I have seen done on other sites with member "perks".

let say VH becomes active, and this place gets swammped, flightsim.com only allows so many people in before it rejects them if they are not paying members. You get a message that says "try again later". this keeps bandwidth from going south, but doenst lock out paying peeps.
