I wouldn't. I think 5150 from a production stand point sounds like shit. Maybe a victim of the time period, but it still does sound like crap.

Mick only took credit for Sam's performance and to be honest Sammy did an amazing job vocally on 5150.

You or I could be twisting the knobs at 5150 and Sam would still sound great.

Could be because digital recording was in its infancy still and they weren't too sure of themselves. Even though 5150 came first, I think OU812 is way worse production wise. Sounds like it was recorded underwater. The Van Hagar stuff sounds dated.
