Ed commentend on the 86 MTV special that Alex used to beat the crap out of him when they were kids. I guess the fighting never stopped. In Dave's autobiography, Dave talks about Alex beating on Ed back in the club days.

Yeah that's all Howard talks about.
I'd like to hear what you think is good radio, I am sure this will be good for a laugh.
BTW who says, "NOT" anymore? What is this 1992?

Lou is shot as a vocalist. I've seen him twice since his brain surgery and he can't sing anymore. Sad

Seems to be a pretty consistent theme.

Exactly. Plus, if it were 92, we'd still be talking about if Sam or Dave was better, and wondering when the next VH CD would be coming out, citing rumours of Dave being back in the band, listening to press about Chrysler being in the shitter, in the middle of a recession, be watching the Simpsons, Melrose Place and that new Star Trek...oh wait....never mind.

So Al liked to beat up on his meal ticket, eh? Those darn little brothers, they're such a pain in the ass.

Interesting interview indeed. OK, so Jan Van Halen used to physically abuse his sons, got them hooked on booze and cigs (Ed) at early age and brow beat them into music. It's a toss up between Daddy VH and Mury Wilson (Daddy Beach Boy) for musical father of the year.
I've never heard about the phyiscal abuse before and if it's true it partly explains why Ed & Alex are so f _ _ _ up. Without confirmation from multiple sources, i will reserve judgement for now

Just serves as additional reinforcement for what we all hear time and time again. Despite all of CF's success, it's still disappointing how VH turned out.

Maybe you should actually listen to the show. It's obvious you don't.

Mick doesn't have any proof that Jan abused his boys beyond the fact the he thought Ed and Al fought after visits from their father....does that mean the Dad beat them when they were young? NO....there could be tension caused by a lot of things that would manifest itself...not necessarily physical abuse.
I think it would suck enough to have a multitude of fans out there analyzing every aspect of your character and behaviour, but to have someone you worked with, and apparently trusted, doing the same in a public forum, where it can be presumed that people listen and accept as the truth what is said, would doubly suck.
In short Mick should have STFU and not made such terrible accusations against Mr Van Halen without proof.
