Mark Tremonti--New interview about VH CD--Sounds like Old School VAN HALEN
New Radio interview:
For those of you who are at work and can't hear it, Mark discusses going through the big gates at Eddie's house and heading up to the 5150 Studio, how Alex went in one room behind glass and then the band ripped through the entire new CD live, Eddie 4 feet in front of him, how excited they all were about their new music and how it all sounds like VINTAGE VAN HALEN.

"The spirit of rock and roll has always been against the establishment, against the norm. If what's against the norm becomes the norm, it ends up being rebelled against. What is rebellion? Is it a Jack Daniels bottle, or is it a thought?"

...AND ON THE SEVENTH DAY, GOD CREATED VAN HALEN
Ok, so this is now very different from 2001. So much more news and stories behind it. It seems that Dave has just disappeared. Kind of adding a little bit of mystery to himself again. Let's hope he's been fine tuning and polishing up some magic for us. I know, he's got a gag order but I'm willing to bet (not literally) that the gag order is more compliance and less prisoner. I only mean that Dave is likely just as much to blame for his silence as anyone else.
But I agree, Say something already!!!

"If it sounds good when you play it and you're really proud of playing it, then fucking go play it. And if you really like your record and it leaks, then stream it on your website. Don't keep people from getting your music, give them the fucking music, let them fucking hear it."
--- Dave Grohl
"I think there was a large faction of people around here that were just waiting for this thing to suck so they could continue to rag on VH ad nauseum, the fact that a lot of those people seem to at least dig the song a little, tells me that the tune is just fine."

"It's audio-cocaine on a stick this damn Van Halen."

Very cool interview to hear indeed. Raises the confidence level a bit over just speculation. Can't wait to hear it. I would actually love to just hear it without the vocals too.

+1
I really dig those isolated tracks that are floating around (ripped from the GH game). I would love to get every VH tune like that (except III - maybe FIH and DWD).
