Lost Highway - Not the first time I've seen this flick, probably not the last. Still doesn't make a GD bit of sense, but so what. I've got this thing for David Lynch movies that just keeps me coming back for more.

Lost Highway is brutal in the understanding department, but then you've got a killer soundtrack, Robert Loggia's awesome road rage scene as Mr. Eddy, The beautiful Patricia Arquette as not only a blonde, but also a brunette, fever dream images as only Lynch can do, and Robert Blake as possibly one of cinema's most nightmare inducing figures.

Sit back and soak it in... don't even try to make sense of it all.

I've always liked Leo's earlier work like in The Quick And The Dead. Regardless of what one thinks of that film (I like it a lot), DiCaprio simply jumps off the screen in that one. There is just a certain excitement in his eyes that totally made his character likeable and believable. Gilbert Grape, TQATD and even The Basketball diaries were a damn fine start for the guy... and IMO, Marvin's Room was just a great cast in a really good film.

"American Reunion"

This is bullshit where they put the full menu on the disc but then when you go to click on something (such as the unrated version or the deleted scenes) you get "this is a rental disk - you wanna see this shit go buy it". If the stuff isn't on the disc, don't put it on the menu.

Movie itself was ok.

the 18 year old next door girl had nice sweater puppies... besides that, pretty much a retread of everything in the past movies

The Caller

Not great, not terrible, but a decent watch if you want a little weirdness and semi suspense

If feels like a sex scene between Stone and Leo's character was removed.

Actually, it was Stone and Crowe's characters:

I saw Expendables 2 yesterday and I have to agree with CVD. Great flick with funny one liners - "Who's gonna show up next, Rambo?" Senseless violence, blood, guns, and I actually liked JCVD as the bad guy.

I watched the Hunger Games with my boys this past weekend. It was good, but it seemed like it took forever to get it all going! My boys enjoyed it since they've read the books, but I wanted to see some more action a bit earlier in the flick. Probably a B- in my book.
