Had to go from what I could get from the music video.
Customer asked for a slight Frankie twist to the ESP in the vid and he's going to complete the build.

Pretty cool axe though don't you think?

I think there was an issue of guitar world from 1987 that had him holding the guitar.

So what exactly is the story with this guitar?
I've often wondered if Joe was going for an unfinished replica of Eddie Frankenstein. Anyone?

Not sure really... I remember when the vid came out I noticed it's Frankenstein look and never thought about it again until my customer requested it. Anyone have the Guitar World mag with the pics? Jimi probably has this issue under his mattress.

Back in the early 2000s, just after Aerosmith got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, they had this guitar on display at the Cleveland museum. It had a bunch of scribbles on it, can't remember if they were etchings or ink. They were kind of faint, so not sure if the guitar was that way in the "Angel" video or if the art was added later. (Sorry, no pics!)

Given that ESP did some work for Kramer back in the day (building necks, IIRC) maybe they were all tooled up for Frankies?
