I got Guitar Heo for the Wii.
I was looking to piant up the guitar to look like the black and yellow Charvel from VHII.
How should I go about painting the face plate on the guitar.
Sand it and paint it with Krylon spray paint ?

Has anyone done this ?? If so post a picture.

Because of what the guitar is made of (plastic), I'd go for a high quality plastic model paint in either a spray can or, better yet, mixed in an airbrush. Once completed and left to cured for at least 24-36 hours, give it a once over with Testor's "Model Master" gloss clear and let set up for at least 2 days before any heavy use.

Remember to scuff the body of the guitar down with, at roughest' 2000 grit sandpaper (green scotchbrite painters scuf pads would work well also) in order for the paint to get some "bite" into the plastic.

Several thin "dusting coats" for both the color and the clear coats work much better than fewer thick coats and will result in a longer lasting finish.

I painted my guitar using some high dollar kyrolon plastic paint. It's made especially for plastic stuff. It's like 9-10 dollars a can, but it's totally worth it. I even painted the front of my 360 with it.
