If Ed starts blaming the Jews for his career failures, they'll morph into the same person.
You could probably do one of those Lincoln-Kennedy Coincidence lists between them.
Here's a few:
• both had/have problems with booze
• both were once on top of the world career-wise
• both were wildly popular in the 80's
• both seem clueless regarding personal culpability for their current status
• both were greatly influenced by their fathers
• Eddie Van Halen stays home when he should be doing PR
• Mel Gibson does PR when he should just stay home
• Eddie Van Halen denies the obvious existence of former bandmates and recorded proof thereof
• Mel Gibson denies the obvious existence of the Holocaust and recorded proof thereof
