SNIC, I guarantee you will have fun in this league! Just make sure you make the draft (whichever way you all choose how to do it, live or via phone etc..).

Thanks, Brew. After seeing who some of the keepers are, all I have left to choose from is Ming and McGrady. Or others in the infirmary.
That's ok though. SNICs SCRUBs will still DOMINATE!

Yes!
I was wondering when this thread was going to pop up.
I have like 6 keeper quality guys so my question to you Seen is, can we make trades with our rosters from last year before the draft?

well i screwed up so badly last year that i almost have to improve this season. That said, my keepers blow, I'd be in a better spot if we kept 8 guys - lots of good players not many sensational ones. For now, looks like my keepers are Vince Carter, Elton Brand, Matrix, and Josh Smith. But I really don't want to send Rudy Gay and Bargnani back into the pool. Damn.
Agreed on whoever said Scotty will be good if he doesn't screw up draft day. He'll have the best keepers by far. Fortuantely for all of us, he will screw up draft day.

I shouldn't complain because I won the league anyways, but I'm still burned at myself for picking Sheed over Durant in the first round of the draft last year. Durnat would be a pretty sweet keeper right about now.

It's possible Warham. There is one spot open, but I've already extended an invite to somebody. If he comes back with a no, I'll hit you up next.

I guess that would be a no on the trading of players before the draft.

Oh sorry bro.
You're correct. I think I mentioned that in my first post in the thread.
Yep, I just checked. See #7.

To quote Jack Nicholson from A Few Good Men.."Well don't I feel like the fucking asshole."
My Bad Seen.
Looks like I have some tough decisions to make.
I am definately keeping D-Ho and Joe Johnson. So there is 2 of my 4.

Seen, do the new folks just pick-up an old team and choose players from there, or did I see you said the new people have a mini-draft first.
Please splain all that to me if you don't mind.

The two new teams will have a mini draft before the main draft. Each of you guys will take turns picking a player from the available pool until you have four players each. The available pool of players would be anybody not protected from the returning eight teams, anybody on the end of year roster of the two teams not returning, and any rookies. Then you guys will be ready for the big draft with everybody else. I'm not sure what spot(s) you guys will pick in.
Here's the end year rosters of the two teams not returning:
Rafer Alston
Charlie Bell
Raja Bell
Marcus Camby
Nick Collison
Ben Gordon
Richard Jefferson
Jason Kidd
Andrei Kirilenko
Kevin Martin
Shaquille O'Neal
Tony Parker
Zach Randolph
Bobby Simmons
Danny Granger
LaMarcus Aldridge
Michael Beasley
Ronnie Brewer
Samuel Dalembert
Pau Gasol
Richard Hamilton
Grant Hill
Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Antawn Jamison
Kevin Love
Roger Mason
Steve Nash
Chris Paul
Tayshaun Prince
Tyson Chandler

Yep.
Brew and his Brother are leaving behind their teams. Rather than be lame and just assign one to you and whoever the next newb is, I figure put both their teams out there with the rest of the players and let you guys do a mini draft between the two of you to comprise your first four. That way, when we draft, you already have your four and are pretty level par with the rest with a pretty good team. (Chris Paul, Nash, Randolph, Canby, Gasol are some of the names those guys had that you can pick up).
In addition to that, you get essentially what equates to the first picks on the live draft date as well. So you get basically 5 guys before the vets get back in to the pool. I think that's about as fair as I can make it.
As for who go's first in the lottery, I'll probably pick a number between 1-1000, PM that number to Brett or Scotty or both, have you guess then have them post here. Whoever is closest, picks first, then alternate until you're rounded out.
Sound like a plan?
