It’s no secret that EVH the curmudgeon isn’t the brightest bulb in the Christmas Tree. He always manages to say something stupid and is forever blaming others for his own wrong-doings and short-comings.

So now he blames us Fans for his failures. Who the fuck sang "How Many Say I"?

Whether EVH is sober or drunk, he’s still the same. Hello alcoholism, welcome back!

VH Best of Vol. 1 (2 new songs w/ Diamond DLR) = 1

VH Best of Both Worlds (3 new songs w/ SH) = 1

VH III = 1

Chickenfoot = 1

VH version IV = 0

"Hey this is David Lee Roth and I promised you the news and here's the news.

About a year ago myself and the great Van Halen band played together once or twice and it sounded amazing!

In the following several months Edward and I, Edward Van Halen and me, David Lee Roth, created some of the most amazing, phenomenal - the hands fell off the clock ladies and gentleman and we wrote three astonishing tunes.

That was last July (2000) and since then I haven't been up to the studio, we haven't really been in touch and we haven't made any music, but I am holding forth, I'm in the shape of my life and I got the high note - I'm ready to go.

And I am positive for the future ladies and gentleman.

Stay tuned and I'll tell you what the future brings..."

I didn't say that you spun it, just that we weren't reading the whole interview.

I dunno, maybe I'm a little less disappointed than most because I just didn't expect anything in the first place?

I didn't either from a music standpoint. I've said that repeatedly. I've been resigned to the fact for quite sometime that there may never ever be another VH album.

I think the larger reaction is EVH's denial of reality and blaming everyone else for something that is clearly his doing. That's about as selfish as it gets.

I'm not really even upset about it. It's totally his M.O. It's just interesting that this is the first time this has really happened since he got cleaned up.

There was kind of a hint of the miserably, petty Eddie in the Spike awards comments, but this is pretty solid that he's not moving on and he's still wallowing.

The timeline when the interview was given is what I'm curious about. How long ago was this?

Ed mentioned doing the interview on his blog in August.

"I have been asked to do an interview and Guitar World cover shoot with Tony Iommi. He is such a great guy and good friend, of course I said YES! I just saw him in LA last week and discussed my medical treatments. He has similar problems with his hand and hopefully he will find the same relief I have found."

Then Ed is a moron. Years of people falating him have ruined his touch with his fans. I hope he's happy, with a couple of paragraphs he has pissed on all his fans.

They say Eddie should do this/that.
I've got all kinds of music i could put out if i wanted to.
People don't take in consideration the other guys in the band.

I write all kinds of music that certain singers or musicians don't want anything to do with.

So what do i do?
VH conjures up a certain image, and if its a hair outside that image it won't be accepted.

What if we do put something out?
First thing people are going to say is that its not as good as the classics.

People forget, we put out 3 new songs for BOBW and they were never even reviewed, and when we played them live everyone just stood there.
Nobody said anything about them.

Why go to the trouble, spend all that time in the studio,
and tons of your own money, since labels don't put shit out any more,
when people are only going to complain about it or ignore it or download it for free on the internet?

We may not record anything new again.

There is satisfaction in it, but not when it comes solely at your own expense
and when people are only going to shoot it down no matter what you do."
How about the first line in his above comments. We are not complaining fuckwhit, we are excited, jazzed about what new stuff would sound like and most importantly ready and willing to give you our money! What do you give a shit if we like it or not? You would already have our money in your greedy little hands and you could tour and play 1 song off the new record and cash in like crazy. You will never be confused with being a good businessman!

You whine that you have music "certain" people don't like? That's never stopped you before-fire them like you did Mike and release the tunes.

People don't forget that you put out 3 songs on BOBW. The music was decent. Most people I have heard were critical of Sam's lyrics but liked your riffage. The shows I went to people weren't just standing there, they were rocking out. What are we supposed to do, whip it out and start whacking off to the new songs during the concert like Matt Bruck does every time you are in sight!

Why go to the trouble of hours in the studio? Because you are a musician dipshit! That's what you do.An NFL player plays-you guessed it; Football!
Got to spend some money? As previously stated, one look at your mansion and it's obvious your sitting on a pile of it! Can't take it with you so go for it!

Here's a novel idea: Instead of being so worried about people downloading for free, just release a few songs every now and again on your website for $.99. You would drive concert sales, back catalogue sales, stimulate your website traffic and sell a ton more of your ridiculously over-priced shit! (see good businessman comment above- what a dolt!)

And finally when you say "There is satisfaction in it, but not when it comes solely at your own expense and when people are only going to shoot it down no matter what you do" --Ive got news for you, said pile of money you have made has not come from you being "shot-down" very often! Take a chance, let's hear it. Hell, now you have my curiousity perked up; I want to hear this "tons of music" nobody will like even more now! Be a man, step up to the plate! I don't think I would be complaining for the lack of support while you sit in your multi-million dollar studio and your multiple McMansions, where you get to fiddle fuck around all day long in the studio or by your uber- pool with the downhill water park slide we have all heard you have! Most of us have to actually have to get up and work and scrape out whatever pitifull exsistence we have! Be humble, be appreciative-don't be a dick nuckle!

You've always said you would end up playing "Bavarian Cheese Whistle" or "Tuba" and some of us who have given you tons of our hard earned money over the years would probably be dumb enough to buy even these efforts from you! I just wish you were this scared before the release of "How Many Say I"- maybe we wouldn't be having this conversation.

You weren't to worried when you put out that jem of a record Diver Down, now that was a piece of shit, yet there we were to buy 1984 from you with baited breath- even knowing full well you were gonna experiment with the keyboards! I'd say the general public and the millions of fans have been very kind to you over the years! Shouldn't you give back a little? You don't owe us anything, but if a person posseses the talents you have and that God gave you; they are meant to be shared!

Ed, what do you have to lose? You sure as hell can't be worried about your reputation or lack of one at this point (see 2004 tour)? The looney tunes ship you've been aboard sailed long ago! No one can take you seriously at this point, but here's your opportunity to right the ship. One final effort with the "diamond one' for old times sake might just regain or give your rep back and the respect you crave! Then quit or retire and feel good that you regained some cred for your twilight years. Go out on top shouting at the roof tops, don't go out like a little bitch with this bitter, woe as me act. Get one for the Gipper! Bring back smilin' ,flyin' Eddie and get rid of this Edward guy we don't much care for! You can do it dutchman!

With all his own weirdness and all I don't recall Michael Jackson blaming anyone else. We lost a guy this year who had enough balls to try again, where are Eddie's balls?

Not wishing death on him, but atleast MJ was going to give a try, he had the balls to do it. Perhaps I worded it wrong, could be the beer and that I am pissed off.

Agreed. Totally inappropriate and uncalled for. Talk about diving off the deep end, let alone taking things too far.

Yea, the bit about downloading it for free anyway was kinda weak. This shit can work for you too.

Doesn't Edward have people working for him that understand the business in this day and age?
