Yeah how time flies... I only had 3 kids back then. Now got 5 and the one born around the III release just entered Middle School. Plus I got 1 grandchild and another on the way...

The fact Eddie's management are bothering to do this must imply they expect the band to do something, at some point, right?

Yes, tour and new music next year with Dave is their plan.

Dude - I wish I shared your optimism. A tweet / Myspace update is doing jack shit to garner any credibility - especially w/ the die hards who have been patiently waiting.

Lets put something official on their webiste. Lets issue a prerelease saying when and where and w/ who.

Till then, all we've got is Ed mentioning that he's working in the studio. The same thing he's been saying for 10-15 years now. I think you understand why some of us are doubtful.

I understand completely, Scott. It's been a helluva ride for VH fans these last 9 years.

But at least the doubt won't last much longer if they are planning on touring around the summer 2010. If things are indeed going according to plan, there will be some hints soon.

And it won't only come from EVH, but from

www.twitter.com/vanhalen

I would guess first we'll get notified of GH VH in December

And then...

But hopefully we'll hear some rumors leaking from VHND and Melodicrock real soon.

LOL, IMO a puffy face at any age is not normal and definitely not a good thing.

My son who turns 10 next month has never heard anything "new" by VH except for those 3 tunes on BOBW with Sammy and other than the intro to UFB, he doesn't like them very much.
EDDIE! Stop depriving the next generation who will be supporting Wolfgang's VH from new material! Lets get it going NOW!

If this band tours next year without any new music than that will be the proverbial nail in the coffin for VH as a band.

Sure seeing Girl Gone Bad and Outta Love Again and Drog Dead Legs played live would be AWESOME to see live.....but I'd much rather see some new tunes played live next year and instead I can go watch the Montreal 84' DVD if I want to see those other songs played live.

How could that happen? Wolfgang wasn't even born yet, and we know that Van Halen didn't exist without him in the band.
