Default Dave's Art

You all see this stuff on Dave's site?
davidleeroth.com/

Some very cool. Some Bizarre. Didn't his uncle or some relative do Rat Fink or whatever??? Dave seems to have been influenced artistically by him as well as other styles. I'm impressed actually. He's a very talented artist. I had no idea.

Dave has got the eye. There's a guy over at the army who met Dave backstage and had his copy of CFTH autographed by him. Dave quickly drew up a ship out on the ocean and a little palm tree for him. Then signed it. I'm guessing that he hasn't done that for very many fans too.

Not bad at all! Some of the pieces have a little bit of high-school folder art vibe to them, but others have some more depth.

Dave strikes me as a renaissance man and I really dig that. Real eclectic taste and interests.

I think this stuff is great! It's weird how people like Lars Ulrich makes millions selling their art but Dave, who I think has great talent, isn't even really trying.

I don't think Lars does his own art. He's an art collector and therefore makes money when he sells his collections.

I thought that too. Have you seen Paul Stanley's artwork? He sells it for ridiculous prices and it looks like shit. All his painting look like open wounds and anal cavities and stuff. But if theres kisstards who will pay that kinda money for it then i guess more power to him.

Paul Stanley is starting to look like Michael Jackson.

Lol...I was just going type my response and my son (8) came down and saw the pick of Paul Stanley and said, dad is that you? Holy shit. lol! I mean I like Kiss but I do not look like him! lmao I just showed my wife and thought she'd get a huge laugh out of it and she said "I can kinda see it". I'm depressed now. lol

Anyway you guys read my mind. Dave has artistic talent and isn't pursuing it professionally it seems... yet Stanley sells his paintings for thousands and it looks like a self portrait of his asshole. lol He's been at it for years now, selling art.

Anyway I was really surprised to see Dave's art. he's got talent and seems to have a cartoonist type flair with some of the stuff he does as well.

I see an Itchy and Scratchy influence here:

Some of the others are cool. If this is legit, he shoulda been doing his own album art since the jump. I know he had a hand in some of them...

Come on dude. A wig? hehe I related that story to get a laugh, I thought it was a trip and an kinda an insult but I guess the eyes etc..Anyway the main point though is DLR has real artistic talent. Who knew. I think it's cool. On the site it says something like.." for those who wonder what I do in my free time".

I believe you're right. I've never known Lars to do any of his own painting anyway. However, he does/did have a huge collection at one time.

Paul Stanley's paintings look horrid. I've seen pre schoolers with more talent using crayons.

You can tell that the Far Eastern vibe rubbed off on Dave a long time ago.

Dave's art looks good, kind of tattoo looking on some of it. As far as Paul Stanley goes it looks as if some of his art is taken from the sores he got on his cock from banging groupies.

a lot of musicians are also painters or sculpters Sinatra painted and everyone knows about Tony Bennett....Miles Davis painted, Lennon drew, Ringo paints and McCartney paints as well...Jerry Garcia, Joni Mitchell, Grace Slick, and Ron Wood (he actually has talent) paint...I remember Janis Joplin dabbled as well...Mellencamp paints and dabbles in photographyI think

John Entwistle, and Bob Dylan have also sold pieces

some of them are very good or good, and some of them are awful and only sell because of their names...like Stanley
