Dave responds to his "greedy guitarist" line

Dear SlawterScouts:

We've gotten a ton of email, not to mention all the talk here
on the DLRML about Dave's statement for the Raymond Theatre.

Who is the guitarist he speaks of?

What did he mean by the greedy forces of man?

Well, we asked and Dave wanted to tell you himself.

Here's Dave:

"Evidently my recent statement concerning the Raymond Theatre
has caused somewhat of a furor.

Surprise, surprise.

My joke pertaining to "the guitarist" is as generic as
"how many drummers does it take to put in a lightbulb?"

It was not in reference to anyone living or otherwise."

Well, this is interesting. Dave's gotten a little more active lately, eh? And he's responding to massive amounts of e-mail all asking the same question.

So let's decide what we want to ask him, and stuff somebodies mailbox. What question do y'all think we should ask, beyond the obvious one that they won't answer?

What everyone needs to consider is why there is a dart thrown at his former guitarist.(joke?)then when he says the fans take it way to seriously, he uses a old joke but the joke is about a drummer(another joke?) or is there a couple of arrows thrown at the VH brothers??? Lets see he got Ed first then Al

Yeah, that is interesting. All of a sudden he is making several statements in just a few days. Something isn't right - either he is SO passionate about this theater that he would break over a year of silence to talk about it or things are getting a bit looser in relation to the big silence thing. Maybe there is a bit more tolerance down at 5150 for letting a few tid bits go - could these little pieces of info be just getting the ball rolling? Maybe not, but it might be...

Or maybe the album is done and Dave is seducing the pouch while the other stuff (legals and such) clear themselves up...

You know, the fact that he made the, "Rapid fire string of comments," is intereting. It almost makes you wonder if he was afraid a certain "former guitarist" would end up taking the quote too seriously too [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]
