I don't think the DVD that's coming with the "deluxe" CD is the done-up-right concert DVD they're planning. There is no way they would have those shows they just captured both edited and mixed in surround sound by now. Plus that type of thing from Chickenfoot will include lots of extras: backstage stuff, etc. That will come out early next year. The DVD coming with the CD will be what's been discussed a few times in this thread already and that is the couple videos, the 12 days of the Foot, and a few (maybe four or five) songs captured live but will be a bit raw. It won't be a complete show. And this DVD will be a great "extra" buy for some of us (the ones who bought it online for $4). Those who already bought the CD that don't want to buy it won't buy it. Or some will. (It's a product, people, not a part of your soul). But the real concert DVD we're all wanting from this tour won't be done until early next year. It's just a feeling I have.

The live DVD and the deluxe album DVD are indeed two different things. Here's a teaser clip from the deluxe album DVD...I haven't seen it anywhere so I uploaded to YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TIgOxDyAlo
I think we can expect a mix of rehearsal/recording/live footage (they filmed several shows, remember) for each song, and then the two music videos.
Also, I've been lurking at this forum for most of the year (ever since Chickenfoot got going), but I didn't register until today. So I'll take a quick minute to introduce myself... My name is Austin, and I live in Long Beach, CA. I've seen Chickenfoot five times (SF and LA road tests, Lake Tahoe, Berkeley, Universal City). I love Van Halen and solo Sammy, but I'm a bigger fan of Satch than of anyone else. If anyone here also reads the forum on Joe's site, you'll know me as Do The Stu...
Anyway...
Austin

Welcome Austin. Five times! I didn't think anyone would be close to my 6 times (except for the entourage of course), but I guess I was wrong.
Welcome again.

Welcome Austin and thanks for posting. God Damn Andy Johns knows how to get a killer drum sound! Chad's drums sounded massive in that clip.

CHICKENFOOT TO RELEASE A DELUXE LIMITED EDITION OF THEIR SELF-TITLED ALBUM, EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH BEST BUY ON NOVEMBER 1st, 2009; RE-SALE BEGINS TODAY ON BESTBUY.COM
Oct. 8, 2009
CHICKENFOOT’S SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM WAS RECENTLY CERTIFIED GOLD BY THE RECORDING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA
LOS ANGELES, CA…October 8, 2009—Chickenfoot, 2009’s stand out rock collaboration comprised of guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, and Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony will release a Deluxe Limited Edition of their eponymous debut album, recently certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America with over 500,000 in album shipments. The album will be exclusively released through Best Buy and is available for pre-sale beginning today at www.bestbuy.com/chickenfoot.
On Sunday, September 27th, Chickenfoot was presented with a Recording Industry of Association (RIAA) Gold Certified record for their hit debut album, having shipped over 500,000 in albums. The attached photo (available in hi-res upon request), shows (left-right) guitarist Joe Satriani; Gary Arnold, Senior Entertainment Officer of Best Buy and Redline Entertainment, which released the album; band manager Mick Brigden; drummer Chad Smith; lead singer Sammy Hagar; band manager Carter and bassist Michael Anthony, backstage at the Gibson Amphitheatre, where the band accepted their gold records at the last show of their 30 city cross-country US Tour. The album was also certified gold in Europe by Impala with over 100,000 in shipped album.
Chickenfoot’s Deluxe Limited Edition will feature a reverse design from that which was featured on their self-titled debut. The original black album artwork was printed with heat sensitive ink and the new design will feature a white background printed with flourescent ink. In addition, the package will include one bonus track, ”Bitten by the Wolf,” and a bonus DVD containing an hour of behind the scenes footage of the band, music videos, interviews and concert footage from their European and US Tours. It will be available initially for a sale price of $9.99, exclusively through Best Buy.
Chickenfoot was a critical, as well as commercial, success:
“Hagar and Satriani have embedded plenty of hooks and compact solos in these tunes, and the refreshingly agile rhythm section motors them along.” -- USA Today
“Chickenfoot’s self-titled debut favors straight-ahead rockers like the single “Oh Yeah” or the blues-fed “Sexy Little Thing,” and “Soap on a Rope” sounds like a Led Zeppelin outtake sent back from the year 2019.” -- Billboard
Chickenfoot just completed a 30-city cross-country US Tour in support of their debut album. The band made their first ever TV performing appearance during the first week of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien on Friday, June 5th. The self-titled debut is a hard rock album that sets the standard for rock music. “The album is an 11-song slab of raging rock,” says writer Joe Bosso of Guitar World magazine. Chickenfoot is produced by Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones) and mixed by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica). The band’s first single, “Oh Yeah,” has been embraced by radio. It has proven to be a true multi-format smash, topping both the mainstream and classic rock charts at #1, as well as charting in active rock.

Probably better, even Led Zep admit that is not them at their best, that is them tired at the end of a long tour with a heroin addicted Jimmy Page in tow.
