i would hardly call this a cash grab after being able to either download or purchase the disc at Best Buy for $10. More than we can say for some 'other' band we are all familiar with...

well, if any other band re-released their album less than a year after it was first released but with a dvd it would be called a cash grab and people would say that they're doing it just to increase sales of the record by forcing people who want the DVD to buy the record again. They would get a lot of flack for "not getting it" insomuch as marketting is concerned. We would hear comments about how it penalizes their "true" fans who bought the record early and rewards those that have just jumped on the bandwagon. Yep, cash grab would be thrown around and "screwing the hardcore fans who supported them from the beginning" would be thrown around. Lots of references to the problems with the VIP packages would be made and this band would be painted in a much more negative light.
I'm not saying these comments would be deserved and 100% accurate, but they would certainly be said.

Anyone who thinks this is a cash grab doesn't know anything about this band. Relative to what they have made in other pursuits the whole CF album/tour is a pay cut. They are trying to boost their collective legacies (especially Hagar) and put CF on the map musically. Whether or not the band continues, their time is still finite to make an impact, and they are doing the things they can to make a dent in a tough industry. I think they did a hell of a job. Bring on the DVD, because this was one hell of a live band!

that is correct but I do think they do a great job of pleasing a lot of people a lot of the time.

now that's something that could never be construed as a cash grab!
