Cabo Uno Tequila
Okay, I wanted to start a thread for this tequila in particular to see which linkers were planning on getting some of it, once you try it to see what your thoughts were, etc... It looks like I will be getting some through a liquor rep. connection, so I am anxiously waiting. I also wanted to know if anyone had any information on a solid release date as well. Please, feel free to post any relevent information!

Look's like there has been a design change to the bottle
Edit:
Upon further review, maybe not.

Got mine pre-ordered from my liquor rep! It will be added to my list of over 100 tequilas! Don't have a date yet though. Can't wait!

OFOTD, thought I'd post a summary for ya. Got the call from my liquor guy today. Aw yeah. Showed up over at the store after a meeting, he gives me the scoop. Turns out only 40 cases are being shipped to California. And California is Sam's biggest domestic tequila market, I believe. Heaven only knows how many cases other states are getting, but it ain't much, and no doubt some states aren't getting any. It is 3 bottles to a case, my guy only acquired two cases and doesn't expect anymore until the next vintage, was reluctant to give me a wholesale-ish deal on one whole case, after their scarcity had been revealed to him by his distributor, he wanted to split 'em and charge per bottle up the ying yang, naturally. But I convinced him, since I brought the stuff to his attention in the first place, though we quibbled a bit on final price, a little more than our original struck deal, 'cause of what he'd found out about the low vintage despite the fact I'd told him in as many words the same spiel two months ago. LOL, ah well, whaddya gonna do.

It's a beaut of a package, for the real tequila aficionado (like ourselves ). The leather and wood box is sweet, the crystal bottle is purty, the leather pouch holding the decanter's stopper was a nice touch. There's a little booklet inside too.
I will report back later tonight after dinner as to the sippin' smooth premium oak-butter taste I fully expect. I'm not gonna make any sangria, or cut up any orange slices, or even dust the shot glass rim with cinnamon. This stuff's too elite to take anything but straight up.

Wow VS, I thought the stuff was coming in the begining of May. I am extremely jealous. I hope the connection I have can come through then (with it being only 40 cases). Just yesterday I was considering getting two cases.

I was surprised to hear from him. I guess they've started shipping earlier than projected. If you know a distributor, you probably will have access to two cases. If your guy is a liquor store owner, like mine, two cases is probably all he'll get, if that.

My friends own a bar here and the distributor for Cabo Wabo is Young's Market. The only problem is that they (bar owners) aren't too fond of the reps from Young's (long history). Either way, I'll talk to them tonight to see if we can speed this along.

LOL, I just noticed the lithographed Sammy signature on the bottom, and each bottle is hand-numbered. Then I saw this, what must be the first one on eBay.
