does anyone know anything about this song. I found it on Napster. It fucking ROCKS. It's now my fave unreleased song. So is it a cover, original or what? I know that Glenn will know

"stayin' round here takes patience,
it's like a full time occupation
I've become a diplomaniac"

Yes it's an original and it's also known as Believe Me. It was part of the four song demo that VH did before Michael Anthony was in the band. That demo was done in either 1973 or 1974 and had Angel Eyes, Take Your Whiskey Home, Simple Rhyme and Take It Back. There are also a few boots with live versions of that song.

I'm such a VH nut that I can never say any Van Halen song sucks, released or unreleased. But Take It Back isn't one of my faves, mostly because I don't care for the chorus. I like a lot of their unreleased stuff, but there are a few that don't really work for me; Take It Back, Young and Wild come to mind.
