This is what I think -

EVH on the left
EVH's dad on the right.

Just my guess

Jerel, that's a great link, thanks. Anyway that does look like Eddie. I've only ever seen one picture of Jan Van Halen and that's in the most recent INSIDE magazine; it's a picture of the VH family on their way to America. Comparing the two photos, and going on the theory that that is EVH in the picture, I don't think that's Ed's dad. If you say that Ed is about ten in that picture then it would have been taken in about 1966. Jan Van Halen was born in 1920, which would make him 46 in 1966. They guy in that picture looks younger than that to me.
Anyway, just my thought, I'd love to see what someone else thinks.http://www.vhlinks.com/vhlforum/smilies/smile.gif

Maybe it's a recent picture of Eddie and Wolfie!

Vic Vega, that never occured to me, but it's so obvious. Now that you say that it does look a lot like Ed and Wolfie. Not sure, but it's definately possible. Thanks for pointing that out.http://www.vhlinks.com/vhlforum/smilies/smile.gif

Vega might be right...It's a fuzzy picture but it looks like Wolfie.

are the VH brothers parents still alive? How come we never see/hear anything about them?
Anyone know the answer?

Jan Van Halen died in December of 1986. I believe their mother is still alive.

Did you guys know Eddie and Alex's mom was born in 1914? 86, wow! I don't think Jan was that old when he died. The brothers jammed in the studio for like ten hours that day. Some more trivia for you! http://www.vhlinks.com/vhlforum/smilies/smile.gif

Eddie and wolfie was my first quess, but I thought the kid on the left looked too old. But then again, kids grow fast don't they! http://www.vhlinks.com/vhlforum/smilies/smile.gif

Ed and Al's mom passed away due to cancer. She died a couple of yrs back. I read that in an article somewhere. I think that's what it said?
