View Full Version : Large Thread Problems?

Something I've noticed this morning... All the larger threads are messed up. When you open them, it shows the last post different than the person that actually posted last. Basically, it's not showing new posts.

I thought it was just me when I couldn't see the new stuff on the UFF thread - tried clearing my cache and that didn't fix it. Then I saw Top Timmy pointing out that Seenbad noticed Drop Dead Kegs isn't updating. So I checked some other threads in that forum and neither is the Eddie_Italian or EBAS thread.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm having the same problem with 1 page threads also.

I'm having the same problems, too.

The big threads all seem to have died.

And recently, for all threads, when I click on the latest poster's name to open the thread, the thread doesn't take me directly to the poster's post.

I have to continually refresh the screen for every new post that is made.

Typical, people complaining about size.http://www.vhforums.com/vhlforum/smilies/wink.gif

BUT, when you post on the Cover Songs thread, it doesn't take you to your post when it runs through, just to the top of the page. You have to leave and refresh to see your post. DAMMIT, we're trying to get VH to do another Diver Down, it's very frustrating.http://www.vhforums.com/vhlforum/smilies/biggrin.gif

I have all the problems mentioned above also.

I have to click the refresh button to see new posts on a thread.

I am unable to read the last three posts on the UFF thread. And new posts aren't apearing on the sacred EBAS thread.http://www.vhforums.com/vhlforum/smilies/biggrin.gif

I guess for the time being we'll just have to restart long threads to serve as a fix...

Hopefully someone *not naming any names http://www.vhforums.com/vhlforum/smilies/smile.gif* will figure the problem out in the near future and fix it.

The big thread problem is a mystery frankly, I know that's a bad answer, but that's the problem.

Now this other issue of having to refresh to see new posts, that is definitely a browser cache issue. I have never had that problem and those that have had it adjust their cache settings and it seems to fix the problem.
