You know I wish VH and Dave would then just part ways and either reconcile with Sam and Mike or just get another singer and continue on as Van Halen. At this point they do not need to find more fans, Ed just needs to share the music he creates and find a singer that he can work AND hang out with. They can do what bands like Journey and Foriegner are doing, they aren't trying to reinvent the wheel, they are just playing music and being respectful to their past as well.
Go get Mitch Malloy and who cares if they are a commercial success anymore, maybe they can release a couple of new songs via their website and for radio without the rigors of making an album. Then they can tour, play songs from their collection, mix in a couple of new songs and perhaps do some songs in tribute to other bands like Zeppelin and such.
I am just tired of their usual act of giving us a phony band that in front of the cameras appears together and keeping on telling us that they are going to make a new album and tour again.
Just keep it real Ed and Al, stop bullshitting us.

Actually if you listen to the start of "Ballot or the Bullet" he is almost there.

I think I accidentally created a Van Halen surrogate whore clone album by playing Chickenfoot and Saudades de Rock on shuffle tonight.
I feel dirty.

If you are going to have a guy named David that can't sing anymore be your front man, at least have it be your original front man.

Just bringing up a VERY old rumour.....there were reports that Coverdale was to replace DLR / SH from VH..they always seem to come back up.
