Just got hit with the first pop up. My blocker didn't stop it. Nothing a click of the X couldn't fix though.

Well you won't see it for 12 more hours. I mean if it becomes a huge issue, I'll get rid of it, I am hoping it won't be a big deal though.

And I am gonna see if I can set it up so it doesn't hit people who are premium members...if I can.

So that's probably what happened then. As soon as I checked in here I got an ad about cleaning my registry or some such nonsense, unless that's a mozilla thing. Not sure but do what you gotta do to keep it running here sir.

I can pay in advance on my preem if need be.

Do whatever ya gotta do to offset costs. If people can't deal with a lousy ad once or twice a day (and clicking on one every once in a while), when they visit here everyday to a place YOU mostly pay for, then screw 'em.

i don't, my hosting companies haven't raised rates in years. actually hosting rates have gone down year on year basis for whole segment of hosting packages.

have you thought about switching companies, or optimizing the site ... say for example removing image and flash threads?

Nah I like the guys I'm with, been with them for 10 years almost. It's not a lot higher, but more than I was paying. Plus the advertising will help me in case something happens where it's tight one month for the server, at least I won't need to go into my own pocket.

I don't think we have any flash on the site unless I'm nutty.

I'm not so set on the pop-under anyway, I have to let it go a whole day and see what it generates. So far it's not much so it may not be worth it anyway.
