...and they were both there on Monday night! About three people away from the one he was talking to.

What a show!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was worried going to the show that maybe I might be expecting too much, based on all the great reviews. Well let me tell you....The show lived up to all the hype! Dave sounded great. He moved around quite a bit, did alot of the leg kicks. Ed was smokin!! He is truly focused on proving the 2004 was a fluke. Al was incredible! Wolfie was great! His vocals IMO were great! He will only get better. My 13 yr. old son loved the concert! He's got good taste. lol I give the show a "A" Now I have to figure out which state im gonna travel to to see another show! God,as good as they all sound and all seem very happy to be playing together, I hope they make a new cd next year!!

Talking Picture at Auburn Hills!!

Check us out!! Here's the pic of us (Myself, Shari & Dimoncutr) after the show last night! Thanks Shari for the kind words about us/me in your thread!
Shucks, kinda made me blush! Had an absolutely awesome time at the concert. I'd of course met Dimoncutr before in '04, and it was cool seeing you again Joe. Kinda wish I didn't live 2+ hours away from you guys, I think we'd have fun occasionally hangin' together between tours. Cool finally meeting THE Vh_chick in the flesh, putting the face with the name.

Now for my take on the show. I pretty much don't have too much new to add that hasn't already been said, but I'll say it anyway. First came the 5* party at 5. It was indeed not quite as good as '04, but enjoyable. I sat with Blueeyedmurder and her husband. I spotted her striped shirt and kick ass manicure job while waiting in line to receive the 5* credentials. Food was decent, but what was really cool was we did get to see a reasonable part of soundcheck while doing our backstage tour! We walked in on them performing part of YRGM, and just hung out and stared for a little bit. We then went back to the party where they raffled off very few items (at least in comparison to '04). Then came the show, and what a show it was!! I've stated before that I'm not a musician, so I can't really fairly critique anyones performance from a professional standpoint, but I thought it kicked serioius ass. Quite simply, similar to what Diamond Dave said, they played all of my avorite songs, I sang along pretty much word for word at the top of my lungs to all of them, lost my voice and loved every minute of it!! Dave busted his ass throughout the entire show and did IMO one hell of a job. He just seemed way more into it last night than he did for some of his more recent solo shows. I was sitting front and center, just a little to Dave's right and Wolfie's left, which I thought was freakin' perfect. Damn, it was loud. Especially the synth parts of Jump and I'll Wait, those seemed to really bust out of the speakers.

Cool meeting you linkers, and I look forward to reading more reviews and to hopefully a 2nd leg of this tour that comes within my reach!!! I hope everyone that sees this show enjoys it and gets as much of a kick out of it as I did seeing last nights show. Ear to ear grin the entire time I wasn't yelling!! Damn, it was just simply awesome and top notch IMO.

Sorry BlueeyedMurder, I'm still "high" from the show and didn't read all of the posts before posting myself, but thanks for your kind words too! (Shucks!!) BTW, how are Grandma and your kids?? Did she head back to Grand Haven a happy Woman, or do you and Dan owe her big time? I owed my wife big time after the concert earlier today with a trip to the Greektown Casino, where $60 bucks went into the Monopoly slot machine and didn't come out. That's almost 2 more things that I could've got at the crowd free merchandise stand, darn it all!!

Thumbs down AVOID LETSGOTICKETS.COM

I had 5 star for The Palace. I only had 1. I took my little brother to the show hoping for a shot at getting him 1 of those $140 Pit tix at the broker sites. I talked to Mark, the letsgotickets.com guy on the phone. Told him the whole situation. He said its not a problem. I even offereed him $200 just to be safe and sure. Pit row 5 was the deal. He said wait at the palace and call him back closer to 5 oclock when all the 5 stars were to meet. I even gave him directions to a customer of his place for drop off. I called back and he was suddenly rude and short, but we still had a deal. I passed up several scalpers at the Palace cause me and Mark had a deal . After 5 passed and still no Mark, I called back again. This time he was a prick and said he had to take care of his higher $ clients and said call him back, then hung up. At 5:30 he finally walks in with the suckers he ripped off for $1500.00 a piece for the $700.00 5 stars. When he wasnt busy I asked if we still had a deal and he rudely blew me off, but there was still a deal. I left $200 with my brother to catch him when he came back inside and I joined my backstage party. He came back in and told my brother not to talk to him like a total prick. Backstage I confronted him and he shrunk away. My brother ended up with a crappy seat miles away from the pit. Letsgotickets only cares about clients they can sucker for big bucks, and he was even late showing up for them. He is a local guy who could have inherited a LOT of business from my wife and me but instead proved to everyone that he is a rude, arrogant, insane asshole. Stay away from him and his website and his ebay store!!!!!

Default Palace show

Monday's show at the Palace was better than expected. I almost skipped this tour after seeing the original band 3 times at Cobo but wife wanted to go. And my wife hates concerts but she always wanted to see David and band in person. She said she had the best time ever at a concert. From the moment the band hit the stage it was non stop and I never returned to sit in my seat(115 AA-excellent seats). It many of not been the complete band but it was a great show. I have to consider it one of the best concerts I have ever seen including the ones back in the Cobo days. On those nights the band sometimes were so bombed that they forgot the words to the songs.

As an added bonus I got to meet the whole band at their hotel on Saturday before the show. All where very cool. Check out the picture of me(left) and Eddie.
