It's taken what seems like centuries, but Van Halen finally released their infamous 1986 concert VHS 'Live Without A Net' on DVD, on September 18, 2004.
This 90-minute show is from Van Halen's first tour with Sammy Hagar on lead vocals, and was recorded live in New Halen, CT. The show contains 14 tracks, most of them from the then just-released album "5150," the band's first #1 album, and most successful with Sammy. The audio is in DTS Surround Stereo, and far exceeds the previous VHS version.
The track list is as follows:
One Way To Rock
Summer Nights
Get Up!
Drum Solo
'5150'
Best Of Both Worlds
Bass Solo
Panama
Love Walks In
Guitar Solo
I Can't Drive 55
Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
Why Can't This Be Love?
Rock And Roll
If you enjoyed the VHS version, you'll really want to upgrade to the DVD, which is far superior in sound and picture quality. Money well spent.
