David Lee Roth returns to Van Halen as lead singer, with Eddie's son Wolfgang on bass, replacing 30-year member Michael Anthony. The tour was originally going to be a 50-date summer tour in 2007. When re-scheduled, it was announced as a 25-date tour. Gradually, dates were added, bringing it up to 40 dates. In November 2007, the band announced an extension of the tour into 2008, eventually adding 34 new dates to the tour, bringing the total up to 74, ending in April. A number of dates were postponed in early March, due to reported illness Eddie Van Halen appears to be suffering from. The band returned and finished up the tour, ending with a show in Quebec on July 3, 2008.
